AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HYDE COUNTY TO LEVY A SPECIAL TAX FOR THE ENLARGING OF THE HYDE COUNTY COURTHOUSE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of Commissioners of Hyde County is hereby authorized and empowered to levy and collect, during the fiscal years beginning 1 July 1961, 1 July 1962, 1 July 1963 and 1 July 1964, a special tax, not to exceed ten cents (10¢) on the one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuation of property in said county annually. The tax levied and collected under this Act shall be used for the enlarging and modification of the Hyde County courthouse and said tax shall be used for no other purpose whatsoever.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
