AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 83 OF THE PRIVATE LAWS OF 1935 RELATING TO THE CONTROL OF AMUSEMENTS AND THE SALE OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES IN THE VICINITY OF HIGH POINT MUNICIPAL PARK IN JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 83, Private Laws of 1935, is amended by deleting from lines five and six of Section 1, the words "or any intoxicating beverages be handled for sale or sold", and by adding at the end of said Section a new sentence to read as follows:

"It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, or representative thereof, to handle for sale or sell any intoxicating beverages in any area which is zoned as 'residential' at the time of the passage of this Act."

Sec. 1½. Chapter 83, Private Laws of 1935, is further amended by adding, following the words "show carnival", in line 5, the words "go-cart track".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect after ratification.
