AN ACT TO VALIDATE THE OFFICIAL ACTS OF WILLIAM MATTHEW SMITH AND JOHN R. PATE, JUSTICES OF THE PEACE IN NEW BERN IN CRAVEN COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Each and all of the official acts of William Matthew Smith, a Justice of the Peace, in New Bern in Craven County, performed after the expiration of his commission on April 18, 1960, and until June 10, 1961, inclusive, including all judgments rendered, probates taken, marriages performed, warrants issued, and any and all other acts whatsoever, are hereby in all respects validated, ratified and confirmed.

Sec. 2. Each and all of the official acts of John R. Pate, a Justice of the Peace, in New Bern in Craven County, performed after the expiration of his commission on June 9, 1960, and until June 10, 1961, inclusive, including all judgments rendered, probates taken, marriages performed, warrants issued, and any and all other acts whatsoever, are hereby in all respects validated, ratified and confirmed.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
