AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF LAUREL PARK, HENDERSON COUNTY, TO PERMIT THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS THEREOF TO SELL PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE TOWN AT PRIVATE SALE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 100 of the Private Laws of 1925, the Charter of the Town of Laurel Park, is hereby amended by adding a new Section thereto to be designated Section 6a and to read as follows:

"Sec. 6a. The mayor and commissioners shall have power and authority at all times to sell at private sale, or lease, any property, real or personal, belonging to said town."

Sec. 2. All sales of real estate heretofore made by the Town of Laurel Park are hereby validated.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
