AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 434 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1953, RELATING TO DISCOUNTS FOR PREPAYMENT OF TAXES IN CATAWBA COUNTY, BY MAKING THE PROVISIONS THERE OF APPLICABLE TO THE CITY OF NEWTON.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 434 of the Session Laws of 1953 is hereby amended by adding the words "and the City of Newton" immediately after the word "County" in lines 2, 5, 6, and 8 thereof.

Sec. 2. This Act shall apply to ad valorem taxes levied by the City of Newton for the fiscal year 1963-64 and all succeeding years.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
