AN ACT TO RESTRICT THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF TOWNSHIP CONSTABLES IN AVERY COUNTY.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. No township constable in Avery County shall exercise his powers as constable outside of the township in which he was elected. Nothing in this Act shall prohibit a town constable from transporting prisoners anywhere within the limits of Avery County.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after May 1, 1963.
