AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO DESIGNATE NOT MORE THAN FOUR ASSISTANT ATTORNEYS GENERAL AS DEPUTY ATTORNEYS GENERAL.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Article 1 of Chapter 114 of the General Statutes is hereby amended by inserting therein a new Section to be designated as G.S. 114-4.4 to read as follows:

"§ 114-4.4.  Deputy Attorneys General. The Attorney General is hereby authorized to designate from among the Assistant Attorneys General authorized by this Article not more than four (4) of such assistants as Deputy Attorneys General to perform such duties and undertake such responsibilities as the Attorney General may direct."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
