HOUSE BILL 1003

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BEAUFORT COUNTY TO FIX COMPENSATION OF ELECTED OFFICERS OF THE SAID COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Beaufort County is hereby authorized and empowered to fix, in their discretion, the salaries paid to the elected officials of the said county, provided, however, that no increase or decrease in the said salaries shall exceed ten per cent (10%) of that being paid to the respective officers as of June 3, 1963.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
