AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 358 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1959 RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WASHINGTON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Sections 1 and 2 of Chapter 358 of the Session Laws of 1959 are repealed.

Sec. 2. The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Washington County shall receive a salary of sixty dollars ($60.00) per month and all other members of the Board of Commissioners shall receive a salary of forty dollars ($40.00) per month. In addition, the Chairman and each member of the Board shall, for each meeting attended, receive a travel allowance of seven cents (7¢) per mile for the distance from his home to the place of the meeting and return.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after June 1, 1963.
