HOUSE BILL 1024

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE SHERIFF AND DEPUTY SHERIFFS OF WILSON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Wilson County is authorized, in its discretion, to fix the salary of the sheriff at not less than five thousand one hundred dollars ($5,100.00) nor more than six thousand six hundred dollars ($6,600.00) per year, in addition to fees, with an allowance, in the discretion of the Commissioners, not to exceed nine hundred dollars ($900.00) per year for an automobile or travel within the county.

Sec. 2. The Board of County Commissioners of Wilson County is authorized to appoint not less than two, nor more than five, deputy sheriffs and to fix their salaries at not less than three thousand six hundred dollars ($3,600.00) per year, nor more than four thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,800.00) per year each.

Sec. 3. This Act shall apply only to Wilson County.

Sec. 4. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 5. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
