HOUSE BILL 1020

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 3 OF CHAPTER 540, SESSION LAWS OF 1953.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 3 of Chapter 540, Session Laws of 1953, is hereby amended by deleting the second sentence, beginning in line 5 thereof, which reads as follows:

"The tax collector and treasurer of said Town shall be paid a salary of not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) per annum, to be paid in equal monthly installments."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
