HOUSE BILL 181

 

 

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF WARRANTS BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE TOWN OF LOUISBURG, FRANKLIN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. On Sundays, official holidays, and between the hours of 5:00 o'clock P.M. and 9:00 o'clock A.M. on all other days, the Chief of the Police Department of the Town of Louisburg, Franklin County, North Carolina, is hereby authorized to issue warrants in criminal matters in the same manner, to the same extent, and under the same rules of law as are now or hereafter applicable to the issuance of such warrants by justices of the peace; provided, that no warrant so issued may be served by the issuing officer; and provided further, that he shall receive for such issuance the same fee now in effect or which may hereafter be provided for such issuance by justices of the peace.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
