SENATE BILL 385

 

 

AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 108-84 TO PROVIDE THAT ARTICLE 5 OF CHAPTER 108 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES SHALL NOT APPLY TO CERTAIN HIGH SCHOOLS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 108-84 is hereby amended by inserting a comma in the place of the period at the end thereof and by, adding after the comma, language and punctuation as follows:

"and provided further, that nothing in this Article shall apply to any solicitation or appeal by any non-public high school which offers at least the minimum high school course of study prescribed by the State Board of Education and which is accredited by the State Department of Public Instruction."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective upon ratification.
