AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 14-317 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES RELATING TO PERMISSION OF MINORS TO ENTER BOWLING ALLEYS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Section 14-317 is hereby rewritten to read as follows:

If the manager or owner of any barroom, wherein beer, wine, or any alcoholic beverages are sold or consumed, or billiard room shall knowingly allow any minor under 18 years of age to enter or remain in such barroom or billiard room, where before such minor under 18 years of age enters or remains in such barroom or billiard room, the manager or owner thereof has been notified in writing by the parents or guardian of such minor under 18 years of age not to allow him to enter or remain in such barroom or billiard room, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not exceeding fifty dollars ($50.00) or imprisoned not exceeding 30 days.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby reepealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
