SENATE BILL 101

 

 

AN ACT REGULATING THE FEES OF JUSTICES OF THE PEACE IN HENDERSON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 277, Session Laws of 1951, is hereby amended by deleting the words and figures "seven dollars ($7.00)" wherever they appear in said Section, and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "eight dollars ($8.00)".

Sec. 2. Section 2 of Chapter 277, Session Laws of 1951, is hereby amended by deleting the words and figures "four dollars ($4.00)", in line 3, and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "eight dollars ($8.00)".

Section 2 is further amended by rewriting the third unnumbered paragraph thereof, to read as follows:

"There shall be assessed as costs, payable to the Justice of the Peace, the sum of eight dollars ($8.00) in all claim and delivery cases, and the sum of eight dollars ($8.00) in attachment cases."

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
