HOUSE BILL 597

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 144 OF THE PUBLIC-LOCAL LAWS OF 1937, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE CIVIL SERVICE ACT OF THE CITY OF HIGH POINT.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 5, subdivision (4), of Chapter 144 of Public-Local Laws of 1937 is hereby amended by striking therefrom the words "sex, race".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
