HOUSE BILL 1124

 

 

AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF EUREKA IN WAYNE COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING COMPENSATION FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SAID TOWN.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 90 of the Private Laws of 1879, as amended, the same being the Charter of the Town of Eureka in Wayne County, is hereby amended by renumbering Section 5 so that the same shall be designated as Section 6.

Further amend said Charter of the Town of Eureka in Wayne County, as above designated, by adding a new Section 5, which shall read as follows:

"Sec. 5. Each member of the Board of Commissioners of the Town of Eureka shall receive an annual salary of thirty dollars ($30.00) to be paid in such installments as the Board of Commissioners may from time to time determine. The Mayor of the Town of Eureka shall receive an annual salary of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00), to be paid in such installments as the Board may from time to time determine."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect on and after July 1, 1967.
