HOUSE BILL 1138

 

 

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF MOORE COUNTY TO SELL CERTAIN LAND AT PRIVATE SALE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of Education of Moore County is hereby authorized and empowered to sell at private sale, and without any public advertisement, 49.16 acres of land to Mary Luman Meyer, which said land lies in McNeill Township in Moore County, and is described in a deed dated December 15, 1966, and recorded in Deed Book 299 at page 279 in the records of the Office of the Register of Deeds of Moore County.

Sec. 2. The said Board of Education of Moore County is authorized and empowered to sell certain land, as set forth in Section 1 of this Act, as surplus property and for such consideration as the said Board of Education shall consider adequate and proper. The said Board of Education is authorized to execute a deed conveying said property, and such other documents or legal papers as may be necessary to make such transfer of land effective, to Mary Luman Meyer, and upon such terms and conditions in the deed as the Board of Education of Moore County may deem proper and necessary.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
