SENATE BILL 142

AN ACT VALIDATING CERTAIN INCREASES IN COMPENSATION IN THE SALARY OR TRAVEL ALLOWANCE OF THE SHERIFF AND DEPUTY SHERIFFS OF BLADEN COUNTY BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BLADEN COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Any action heretofore taken by the Bladen County Board of Commissioners purporting to increase the salary, travel allowance, or other compensation of the sheriff or deputy sheriffs of Bladen County is hereby validated in every respect notwithstanding any limitation in law existing at the time of such action and the same shall be as fully effective as if authorized by law at the time the action was taken.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
