HOUSE BILL 1290

 

 

AN ACT RELATING TO THE USE OF NATIONAL FOREST FUNDS RECEIVED BY MACON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 223 of the Session Laws of 1947 is hereby amended by striking out the words "and Macon County" in lines 1 and 2, line 5, and the last line thereof.

Sec. 2. The funds received by Macon County by virtue of the National Forest Law of the Federal Government as referred to in said Chapter 223 of the Session Laws of 1947 may be expended by the Board of County Commissioners of Macon County, in its discretion, for any authorized county public purpose, including aid or assistance in supporting hospitals.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
