HOUSE BILL 404
AN ACT RELATING TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE POLICE OF THE TOWN OF HILLSBOROUGH.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. Notwithstanding any other local or general laws to the contrary, the police of the Town of Hillsborough are hereby empowered to exercise all of their functions and duties to an area extending two miles outside of the town limits of the Town of Hillsborough to the same extent as they are authorized to exercise their functions and duties within the town limits.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
