AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 339 OF THE 1957 SESSION LAWS RELATING TO THE PAYMENT OF PER DIEM TO MEMBERS OF THE HARNETT COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 339 of the 1957 Session Laws is hereby amended by rewriting the quoted paragraph to read as follows:

"In Harnett County each member of the Board of Education, except the chairman of the Board of Education of said county, shall receive for his services in attending the regular and recessed meetings of the Board of Education the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month, and in addition shall receive for his services in attending any special meetings of the Board of Education the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per meeting. The chairman of the Board of Education of said county shall receive for his services in attending the regular and recessed meetings of the Board of Education the sum of seventy dollars ($70.00) per month, and in addition shall receive for his services in attending any special meetings of the Board of Education the sum of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per meeting."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
