AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GRANVILLE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS NOT TO EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($40,000) FOR THE PURPOSE OF REPAIR AND RENOVATION OF THE CLERK OF COURT AND REGISTER OF DEEDS OFFICE.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of G.S. 143-128, G.S. 143-129, G.S. 143-131 and G.S. 143-132, the Granville County Board of County Commissioners is hereby authorized and empowered to enter into a contract or contracts for the purpose of repairs to and renovations of the offices of the Granville County clerk of court and register of deeds in such manner and upon such terms and conditions as the board deems most appropriate.  Provided however, the authority granted herein shall apply only to a total combined cost of such repairs and renovations to the said offices in an amount not to exceed forty thousand dollars ($40,000).

Sec. 2. This act shall apply only to Granville County.

Sec. 3. This act shall become effective upon ratification and shall remain effective through July 1, 1976.
