HOUSE BILL 1045

AN ACT TO MAKE A TECHNICAL AND CLARIFYING AMENDMENT TO THE ELECTION LAWS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 163-41(a), as it appears in the 1974 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 3D of the General Statutes, is amended by rewriting the last sentence in the fourth paragraph to read as follows:

"If such recommendations are received by the county board of elections no later than the fifth day preceding the date on which appointments are to be made, it must make precinct appointments from the names of those recommended."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.
