AN ACT TO MAKE AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL AND ECONOMIC RESOURCES FOR THE PROMOTION OF TOURISM IN NORTH CAROLINA.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the 1975-1976 fiscal year and fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the 1976-1977 fiscal year, in addition to all other monies appropriated to the Department of Natural and Economic Resources, to be distributed on a matching dollar-for-dollar basis for use by nonprofit tourist promotional organizations in the State. The maximum amount to be given to any of these nonprofit promotional organizations is five thousand dollars ($5,000).

All funds not distributed at the end of each fiscal year will revert to the General Fund.

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective July 1, 1975.
