HOUSE BILL 26

 

AN ACT TO ALLOW OPERATION OF A SNACK BAR AND CAFETERIA IN THE STATE LEGISLATIVE BUILDING AND DELETE THE AUTHORIZATION FOR CONCESSION STANDS IN THE STATE CAPITOL WHILE THE LEGISLATURE IS IN SESSION.

 

Whereas the only current authorization for operation of food service facilities in the Legislative Building is in the State budget, the Umstead Act not having been amended when the Legislative Building opened in 1963; Now, therefore,

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 66-58(c)(5) is rewritten to read:

"(5)      The operation of a snack bar and cafeteria in the State Legislative Building."

Sec. 2.  This act is effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 11th day of February, 1983.
