GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 126
AN ACT TO CHANGE THE SIGN MESSAGE FOR EXEMPT CROSSINGS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. G.S. 20-143.1(b)(5) reads as rewritten:
"(5) At an industrial or
spur line railroad grade crossing marked with a sign reading 'Exempt Crossing,'
which sign has been erected by or with the consent of the appropriate State or
local authority."
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 4th day of May, 1987.
