GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 152
AN ACT TO PROVIDE STAGGERED TERMS FOR THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LINCOLN COUNTY.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. In 1990, five members of the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners shall be elected. The two persons receiving the highest numbers of votes shall be elected for four-year terms, and the three persons receiving the next highest numbers of votes shall be elected for two-year terms. In 1992 and quadrennially thereafter, three persons shall be elected for four-year terms. In 1994 and quadrennially thereafter, two persons shall be elected for four-year terms.
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
