GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 212
AN ACT TO PROVIDE STAGGERED TERMS FOR THE MOMEYER TOWN COUNCIL.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. Section 3.3 of the Charter of the Town of Momeyer, being Chapter 242 of the Session Laws of 1991, reads as rewritten:
"Sec. 3.3. Term of office of Council members.
Members of the Council are elected to four-year terms. terms, except that
in the 1995 town election, the two persons receiving the highest numbers of
votes are elected to four-year terms and the two persons receiving the next
highest numbers of votes are elected to two-year terms."
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 12th day of June, 1995.
