SENATE BILL 282

AN ACT TO ALLOW THE CITY OF ROCKINGHAM TO MAKE SATELLITE ANNEXATIONS OF LESS THAN AN ENTIRE SUBDIVISION WHEN THE PROPERTY IS DEVELOPED FOR COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL USE.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 160A-58.1(b)(4) reads as rewritten:

"(4)      If the area proposed for annexation, or any portion thereof, is a subdivision as defined in G.S. 160A-376, all of the subdivision must be included. included, unless the area proposed for annexation is developed for commercial or industrial use."

Sec. 2.  This act applies to the City of Rockingham only.

Sec. 3.  This act is effective upon ratification.
