HOUSE BILL 1364
AN ACT to provide that transylvania county may purchase and convey property to the state for use as correctional facilities.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 1(a) of Chapter 600 of the 1995 Session Laws, as amended by S.L. 2000-31 and S.L. 2002-85 reads as rewritten:
"Section 1.(a) The Counties of Alexander, Anson,
Bertie, Columbus, Greene, Scotland, and Stanly Stanly, and
Transylvania have power under general law to acquire real and personal
property and convey it to the State under G.S. 160A-274 or other applicable law
for use as correctional facilities."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 28th day of June, 2004.
