SENATE BILL 257
AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF HIGH POINT TO APPROPRIATE AND EXPEND FUNDS FOR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTING THE CITY OF HIGH POINT.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. The Council of the City of High Point is hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate annually and to expend, in its discretion, a sum not exceeding twenty-five hundred dollars ($2500.00) for the purpose of advertising the city or promoting the public interest and general welfare of the city; provided, however, that any such appropriation, which is hereby declared to be for a public purpose, shall be from currently available nontax revenue.
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
