AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT IT SHALL NOT BE NECESSARY FOR THE CHIEF OF POLICE OR ANY POLICEMAN OF ANY CITY OR TOWN IN POLK COUNTY TO RESIDE WITHIN THE TOWN LIMITS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. It shall not be necessary for the chief of police or any policeman of any city or town located in Polk County to reside within the limits of such city or town, and all acts of any chief of police or policeman residing outside the limits of a city or town shall be lawful and valid in the same manner and to the same extent as if he did reside within the limits of the city or town.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
