AN ACT PERMITTING CABARRUS COUNTY TO AUTHORIZE BONDS FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES IN THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF SIX MILLION DOLLARS NOTWITHSTANDING THE LIMITATION OF DEBT FOR SUCH PURPOSES IN THE COUNTY FINANCE ACT.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of The County Finance Act (Article 9 of Chapter 153 of the General Statutes of North Carolina), the Board of Commissioners for the County of Cabarrus, North Carolina, is hereby authorized and empowered to pass a bond order or bond orders authorizing the issuance of bonds of said county for school purposes as provided in clause (a) of Section 153-77 of said General Statutes, in the maximum aggregate principal amount of six million dollars ($6,000,000.00), notwithstanding any limitation contained in Section 153-87 of said General Statutes.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
