HOUSE BILL 1007

 

 

AN ACT TO FIX THE SUCCESSION AND TERMS OF OFFICE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF WASHINGTON COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The successors to the members of the Washington County Board of Education appointed by the 1963 General Assembly, as the terms of office of said members expire, shall each be nominated for a term of four (4) years, and thereafter the terms of all members of the Washington County Board of Education shall be for four (4) years.

Sec. 2. Chapter 69 of the Session Laws of 1961 is hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 4th day of June, 1963.
