HOUSE BILL 960

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ONSLOW COUNTY TO FIX THE COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS AND CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF ONSLOW COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The Board of County Commissioners of Onslow County is authorized to fix the compensation of members of the Onslow County Board of Education in an amount not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) each per month and to fix the compensation of the chairman of the Onslow County Board of Education in an amount not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per month, such compensation to be paid from the General Fund of Onslow County, provided, however, that any increase in the amount of compensation payable to the members and chairman of the said Board of Education shall not be effective prior to April 1, 1965.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
