AN ACT TO AMEND THE MINIMUM WAGE ACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING AN HOURLY RATE OF NOT MORE THAN EIGHTY-FIVE CENTS (85¢) PER HOUR.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Amend G.S. 95-87, as the same appears in the 1961 Cumulative Supplement of Volume 2C of the General Statutes, by striking out in the second line of said Section the following: "seventy-five cents (75¢)" and by substituting in lieu thereof the following: "eighty-five cents (85¢)".

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect on and after January 1, 1964.
