AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF RALEIGH TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BROOKHAVEN, INCORPORATED, TO SUPPLY WATER UPON SUCH TERMS AS MAY BE AGREED UPON BY THE PARTIES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. That notwithstanding the provisions of the Charter of the City of Raleigh (Chapter 1184, Session Laws of North Carolina, 1949) the City of Raleigh is authorized to enter into one or more written contracts with Brookhaven, Incorporated, to supply water to Brookhaven from the water supply of the City of Raleigh upon such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon by the parties, without dedicating, giving, granting, or conveying the water lines heretofore or hereafter constructed by Brookhaven, Incorporated, to the City of Raleigh, except as may be provided by such contracts.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
