HOUSE BILL 1283

 

 

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF DALLAS TO SPEND NONTAX REVENUE FOR RECREATIONAL PURPOSES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Town of Dallas, in Gaston County, North Carolina, is hereby authorized, acting by and through the Board of Aldermen of said Town, to spend such moneys as the Board of Aldermen may deem appropriate to further the recreational program of said Town. Provided, however, that no money received by virtue of a tax levy shall be spent by said Town under the authority of this Act.

Sec. 2. The powers granted to the Town of Dallas under the terms of this Act shall be deemed in addition to those already possessed by said Town.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
