AN ACT TO AMEND G.S. 20-38 SO AS TO EXCLUDE FROM THE DEFINITION OF PROPERTY-HAULING VEHICLES THOSE WHICH ARE USED IN HAULING WOOD CHIPS FROM THE PLACE WHERE THE WOOD IS CONVERTED INTO CHIPS TO THE PLANT WHERE SAME IS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE OF PULP OR PAPER.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  Subdivision (A) of subdivision (1) of subdivision (r) of G.S. 20-38, as the same appears in the 1963 Cumulative Supplement to the General Statutes, is hereby amended by striking out the period at the end, inserting a comma in lieu thereof, and adding the words: "and the transportation of wood chips from the place where wood has been converted into chips to their first or primary market."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect on and after its ratification.
