AN ACT TO PROVIDE COMPENSATION FOR REGISTRARS AND JUDGES OF ELECTIONS IN THE CITY OF SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Judges of elections and assistants shall each receive for their services on the day of any election in the City of Shelby the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00). The registrars shall each receive the sum of fifteen dollars ($15.00) per day for each Saturday during the period of registration that he attends at the polling place for the purpose of registering voters, and on the election day the registrars shall each receive the sum of twenty dollars ($20.00). Any person sworn in to act as registrar or judge of elections shall receive the same compensation as the registrar and judge.

Sec. 2. Chapter 656, Session Laws of 1951, and all laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be retroactive to March 6, 1967, and shall be in full force and effect after its ratification.
