HOUSE BILL 246

 

 

AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF RICHMOND COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Chapter 498 of the Session Laws of 1961 is hereby amended as follows:

(1)       Section 1 of the said Chapter is amended by striking the period following the word "sheriff" in line 16 and adding the following:

", but the Commissioners of Richmond County shall have the authority to increase the rate of pay beyond the stated maximum of three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) per month in their discretion."

(2)       Section 3 of the said Chapter is amended by striking the period in line 10 and adding the following:

", but the Commissioners of Richmond County shall have the authority to increase the rate of pay beyond the stated maximum of three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) per month in their discretion."

(3)       Section 8 of the said Chapter is amended by striking the period in line 8 and adding the following:

", but the Commissioners of Richmond County shall have the authority to increase the rate of pay beyond the stated maximum of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per month in their discretion."

(4)       Section 9 of the said Chapter is amended by striking the period in line 6 of the Section following the word "county" and by adding the following:

", but the Commissioners of Richmond County shall have the authority to increase the rate of pay beyond the stated maximum of three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00) per month in their discretion. The provisions of Section 9 of Chapter 498, Session Laws of 1961, as herein amended, are effective only until Article 12 of Chapter 7A of the General Statutes becomes applicable to Richmond County."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force from and after the date of its ratification.
