HOUSE BILL 479

AN ACT TO MAKE APPLICABLE TO THE TOWN OF MORGANTON, EFFECTIVE AS OF OCTOBER 7, 1968, THE PROVISIONS OF G. S. 105-422 RELATING TO THE LIMITATION OF ACTIONS ON TAX LIENS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. G. S. 105-422, as the same appears in the 1965 Supplement to Replacement Volume 2D of the General Statutes of North Carolina, is hereby amended by striking out the words and punctuation: "municipalities in Burke County," immediately after the words "apply to" in line 12 thereof, and immediately before the word "Ashe" in line 13, and by adding at the end of said Section the following sentence: "This Section shall apply to the City of Morganton on and after October 7, 1968, but shall not apply to the other municipalities in Burke County."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective July 1, 1967.
