HOUSE BILL 530

AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF PINEVILLE, RELATING TO WATER AND SEWER SERVICE.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 296 of the Session Laws of 1965 is hereby amended by adding the following subdivisions at the end thereof:

"(8)      To furnish water and sewer service as may be economically practical outside the corporate limits.

"(9)      To hire, construct, own, maintain, operate, or lease water and sewer lines, tanks, water supply and all other equipment and services necessary to the supplying of water and sewer services."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
