HOUSE BILL 892

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF CUMBERLAND COUNTY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF FAYETTEVILLE TO RELEASE CERTAIN TAXES.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The Board of Commissioners of Cumberland County and the City Council of the City of Fayetteville are hereby authorized to release and discharge all taxes assessed and levied or which might be assessed and levied for the fiscal year 1967-1968 and ensuing fiscal years upon property situated in the City of Fayetteville or Cumberland County which is acquired by the United States or any agency thereof to be used as a site for a federal building, a post office, or any other purpose or function of the United States or agency thereof.

Sec. 2. This Act shall apply only to Cumberland County and the City of Fayetteville.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect upon its ratification.
