HOUSE BILL 711

AN ACT RELATING TO DISCOUNTS FOR PREPAYMENT OF AD VALOREM TAXES TO THE TOWN OF VALDESE SO AS TO PROVIDE THE SAME DISCOUNT AS IS ALLOWED FOR PREPAYMENTS TO BURKE COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. For ad valorem taxable years beginning in 1967, and thereafter, the discount allowed to taxpayers for the prepayment of ad valorem taxes owed to the Town of Valdese shall be the same as is now permitted for prepayment of ad valorem taxes to Burke County under Chapter 126 of the Session Laws of 1965.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be effective from and after its ratification.
