HOUSE BILL 16

AN ACT TO AMEND GS 160-181.2, SO AS TO GRANT EXTRATERRITORIAL ZONING JURISDICTION TO THE TOWN OF CHOCOWINITY IN BEAUFORT COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. G. S. 160-181.2 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof the following:  "The requirement that a municipality shall have a population of 1250 or more shall not apply to the Town of Chocowinity in Beaufort County."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
