HOUSE BILL 107

 

 

AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF RED SPRINGS, BEING CHAPTER 1252 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1949, TO AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF DELINQUENT TAXES INTO THE GENERAL FUND.

 

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 1252, Session Laws of 1949, is hereby amended by inserting at the end of subsection (1) thereof the following sentence: "The board of commissioners may, in its discretion, direct the payment into the General Fund of all or any part of the proceeds of taxes which are, when collected, three (3) or more years delinquent."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be effective upon its ratification.
