HOUSE BILL 812

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 226 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1969.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 226 of the Session Laws of 1969 is hereby amended by adding at the end of the subsection numbered "1." a new sentence which shall read as follows:  "Provided, that the board may in its discretion at the end of each fiscal year return to the profits of the board any or all funds, in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000), which were appropriated but not expended for law enforcement during the previous fiscal year."

Sec. 2.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.
