HOUSE BILL 997

AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 10-8 OF THE GENERAL STATUTES TO INCREASE NOTARY FEES.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  G.S. 10-8 is hereby amended by striking the amount of fifty cents (50ȼ) in subsection (1), line 2 thereof and substituting in lieu thereof the amount one dollar ($1.00).

Sec. 2.  G.S. 10-8 is hereby amended by striking the amount fifty cents (50ȼ) in subsection (2) thereof and substituting in lieu thereof the amount one dollar $1.00.

Sec. 3.  This act shall become effective upon ratification.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 24th day of May, 1977.
